Men's Day/Date Watches
The first date on the dial watch was made by one of the greatest pioneers of the watch making world, Rolex. Today, the day/date complication is common on my men’s watches, inexpensive or not. Digitally, the day and time function is simply condoled by a microchip; however, on mechanical watches, the men’s day/date watch is much more complicated. Often the dial of the watch has a ticker indicates the day on a rotating dial, like the numbers of your odometer, such as Seiko’s Men’s Day Date LumiBrite Dial Quartz watches. In older watches, you will see an additional index or arm that remains stationary while a dial rotates with the day. While the day/date function is common in modern watches, and relatively cheap, the antique watches with this complication are rare and valuable.
