Mens Chronograph Watches
Since we’ve all kept up on our ancient Greek, we know that a men’s chronograph watch is a “time writing” watch. Chronos means time, and Graph, of course, means writing. Glad you’re coming with me on that one, but what does that fancy-schmancy word really mean? It’s a stopwatch! In 1821, a guy named Rieussec invented it, and by 1923 we had our first chronograph men’s watch, which was manufactured by Breitling.
In War of the World, Tom Cruise wears a vintage Omega chronograph, and it stops when the aliens invade. I think that pretty much mean’s one thing: if I get a chronograph man’s watch, and aliens attack, I’ll know. Right? Now, a vintage Omega won’t be cheap, but I’m sure that to get fair warning about an off-world invasion, I can spring for something inexpensive, but reliable and stylish like a Fossil.
